6  General / The Exchange / Moving house: SELLING SKATEBOARDS, SPRAY PAINT, PROJECTOR... on: January 26, 2013, 06:10:28
Hi Guys !

I'm moving house this weekend, and I have a lot of things I can't keep, so I'm selling / giving away some stuff:
IMPORTANT: All this is available to pick up in Totterdown, Bristol, UK. http://goo.gl/maps/S3YQ3

ANALOG PROJECTORS:

I used to experiment a lot with projections and did a couple of analogue sets, using 8mm projectors and films.
Now selling all my equipment, a set of
5 x "super 8" projectors, one super 8 camera, two polaroid cameras(still images) and 3 slide projectors
(2 slide projectors are not on the pictures).

I spent about £350, now selling it for £60.

That includes a rare Bell and Howell Auto Load 8mm, circa 1977 (2nd pic)
There is no guarantee that all projectors work perfectly, as it's vintage some projectors might need service, but most of them are fine.

8mm FILMS
Holiday movies, classics and random stuff. I've collected these over the years, about 35 rolls of film, and 2 rare Chaplin shorts.
Bought for about £100, sold £30.

SKATEBOARDS:
I use to sell skateboards and skate gear (my first job), and I've kept some for years, but it's unlikely I'll ride 8 more boards Smiley
They're brand new, still sealed, and I'm selling 7 boards (from Doble, french brand) for £25 each.
edit --bearings and wheels are gone--.
£160 for the whole pack.

7.5 x 31.5
7.5 x 31.8
7.6 x 32
the 4 others are pro models and I can't find the reference / sizes, sorry

BADGE IT:

Make your own badges:
Comes with 2 refill packs. Worth £45 (£25 + 2x £10), sold £10.

MIDI KEYBOARD

Used it very often for VJing, but works fine for music as well.
Model: EDIROL PCR-M50 - Usb in - Midi in-out
http://www.roland.com/products/en/PCR-M50/

Bought for £170, sold for £50.

I also have more stuff coming up, get in touch if interested:

- PC shuttle computer
- VJing softwares: GranVJ licence + Box (sealed). Modul8 licence + Box (sealed)
- 3d stereoscopic screen (silverscreen, same technology as Imax3d) 3mx1.6m
- overhead projector
- various VJing items, 100m of svideo cables, dvd players, small monitor screens, video switchers / splitters..

and also free stuff I'll be giving away, be quick, everything must be gone by the end of the day (Sunday).
You can come and pick up the items + pay cash.

Please get in touch: crustea -@- gmail -dot- com

FREE STUFF

Free stuff is gone, I'll put more in the next hours

(SOLD) ================================= (SOLD)

VIDEO PROJECTORS
- 2x video projectors, Optoma EX-530 - 2600lum, fairly new bulbs.
http://www.projectorcentral.com/Optoma-EX530.htm
£150 each.
-- UPDATE: BOTH PROJECTORS ARE GONE --

LIGHTING (SOLD)
I bought quite a lot of equipment when when used to organize events (cremefraiche, cuisine) and I don't use these anymore:

ABYSS II: ripple effect lighting. Need a new bulb (cheap)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5F-k8Mz-A8U
It's yours for 20 quids (bought new for £80)

PRINTERS

I use to print silly street art stuff, large posters, stickers and large stencils (http://on.fb.me/W6zowz) so I used B&W laser printers for all that.
I selling 4: 2x Laserjet 1100 and 2x Laserjet 2100. They just need new toners.
£10 each. £25 for the set.

VJING STUFF

- semi transparent screens and materials for projections I used for VJing and installations.
I have large bags of it, different shapes and sizes, enough to fill a large club. £40.
http://bit.ly/V8ybCM

FIRE RETARDANT SPRAY FOR FABRIC (10 LITERS)

Ideal for screens, fabrics, stage design that need to be fireproof.
Worth £10 / L = £100. Sold for £20.

Shuttle cases (x2).
Also with a motherboard (nvidia chipset), not sure if it still works.

SPRAY PAINT CANS:

Same here, remainings of past activity, I'm now more of an indoors painter.
About 50 cans in total, about 25 full ones + 25 party used ones. The 50 cans are sold for £100 (£2 a can. Full ones are worth £6 / each).

10  General / The Exchange / FREE 2.3kva GENERATOR GIVE AWAY on: February 13, 2012, 21:34:59
YO everyone,

I bought a generator a few years back, here are the specs:
pro user 2.3kva petrol generator

It's the same as this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/pro-user-2-3kva-petrol-generator-/180818282881?pt=UK_Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item2a199c0981#ht_500wt_665

Only used a couple of times, and bought it for about £200.

Last time I used it, it stopped after a while, engine runs but couldn't get power off it, there could be a fuse to change or a hidden switch or something, but I'm quite useless when is comes to fix electical stuff, and I don't need it anymore.

Anyone who can come and pick it up asap in Totterdown, it's yours.
Let me know

Crea composite and AntiVJ teamed up to produce a short ”son et lumière” show for Nuit Blanche Bruxelles on the 4th of October.

My friend Legoman produced the first part, and I did the mapping on the second half.

Unfortunately there won't be "light up bristol" this year, but we hope to be back in Bristol soon.

A friends laptop has a VGA output, and the projector we want to use accepts s-video input... is it a simple case of buying an adaptor?
Yes, the adaptor will do the job, but s-video quality is much lower than vga.. By exemple if you project you computer desktop, you wont be able to read any of the icons text, and you'll loose all the details and crispness..

It's fine for a film or low res content..

lol, only just saw this. Don't think my flatmate would be too chuffed if I took apart his Wiimote while he was away on holiday, just so I could watch telly in 3D. Tomato Bad Teeth

MMmmm, it wouldn't work, you need content rendered in realtime 3D, unfortunately it wouldn't work with tv programs.. but I'm sure it won't take long until we get tv shows in 3D..

40  General / The Forum / Re: Wii VR Headtracking!!! - Awesome on: January 22, 2008, 20:19:33
Crustea! - get on it!

Smiley

I've been experimenting with this since december, and I'm just realizing the possibilites and how far you can puh the idea.. It's a shame it only work for one viewer / player at once, but I've been developing a simple game (for an A/V installation to be installed in clubs and festivals) and it's working really well..

With stereoscopic projections (experimenting with this at the moment) it's just amazing, what you see looks real and in 3D, proper hologram effet !!!

I'll try to post a video on youtube as soon as I can (but the holographic effect only work in real environment)..

There was a christmas mass every day this week, so we had to keep the volume quite low, but tonight it will be full on  Two Thumbs

Hi guys ! Thanks for the comments and stuff.. The council house mapping is a very interesting format, but very tricky technically (I play live visuals, on a 6144x768 pixels format, all live, and we had all sorts of little unexpected mini problems) so my piece hasn't been played properly yet, but tonight it should be fine, loads of new visual effects, longer piece of music etc...

Come down at 9.30, hopefully the mapping will reach his full potential tonight (well, it can always be better, but I'll do my best)

50  General / The Forum / anyone got a MIDI SPLITTER ? on: December 18, 2007, 18:32:04
Hi guys..
I'm after a midi splitter (quite urgently, that's for lightup bristol, from tonight til friday..)
That would really help me for the visuals, at the moment I need to play live with 2 keyboards for the visuals on the council house.. not very convinient Wink

If somebody has a spare one, that would be amazing !!
