I was on 3 for a bit - terrible. Am on giff gaff now, but you have to buy your own phone for that  Two Thumbs

How is the Giff Gaff reception? I presume it piggybacks on whatever is the nearest, strongest signal, so should always be good? I'm thinking of going that way and keeping the phone I have; I don't need a new one.

always works for me althouhg I don't use smartphone so I don't know what it's like for data. costs me £7.50 each time I top up which is usually every 5 or 6 weeks (I don't use the phone much)

Hidden brewery does a good pint as well

Unfortunately they folded about three years ago now, money problems.

the three tunns has some interesting ales, they change all the time though.

Yep, same policy as us, lots of guests, all the time.

Personal favourites at the moment are Magic Rock brewery, Hardknott and Alechemy, if you can find them!

What's the name of that IPA that you've got/had on last Monday?  That was one of the tastiest pints I've had since the Pacific IPA you had a while back.

On the topic of good ale pubs, the Bag o Nails is a cracker.

Hillgrove for me  Smiley

147  General / The Forum / Re: are your parents annoying you yet? on: August 23, 2013, 03:24:24
went home for a few days last week as my brother was visiting back from spain

new annoying habits include

- paranoia about using some kitchen utensils vis-a-vis the non-stick surface on the New Frying Pan
- a comprehensive lecture on car insurance and buying new cars vs 2ndhand cars - I think my dad would prefer if he could buy everything from john lewis where even carrots come with a warranty
- insistence that my brother does the washing up IMMEDIATELY after meals combined with my brother's laziness/antisocial behaviour, meaning that I generally have to do it
- continuing obsession with nutrition and absence of important cooking ingredients like salt/butter/sugar etc because 'they will make you have a stroke'
- insistence on placing all food items in small tupperware boxes inside the fridge so that they don't leak anywhere in the fridge and make it dirty

I will add more later, he really drove me crackers this time round
