Hello! Just to let everyone know... we found some kittens!! WOO WOOOOOT!
They are called Kimiko (tabby girl) and Yoshiko (black boy) (Kimi and Yoshi) - they are super-cute-scaredy-cats right now - scared of everything, but SOOO fluffy and adorable. Very very brave and adventurous despite being scaredy too!

Here are some pics for y'all!!  Heart Heart Heart

All the speeches made by friends and family were beautiful.  LIGHTAH!

 Script

Well done all those that read/spoke - some really heartfelt stuff there. Was particularly touched by Pete's words - but I guess that's cos I know Pete well... well done Pete - really, it must have been so hard for you and they were really nice words. x

The whole thing was really lovely. Didn't expect to cry that much. Balloons were really nice touch.

So nice to see so many faces there. A real testament to Neil's standing amongst his friends.

My holiday request has also been accepted. I'll be there. Definitely want to pay my respects. Will it be in Bristol? As Ruttler said, seriously, if there's anything, anything at all that I can do, let me know. X

This thread is a really touching testimonial. Really hard to believe that someone with so much joie de vivre won't be around any more.

Emma: this is something that no one should ever have to go through. You deserve nothing but respect and admiration for how you're handling it.

I second that.

Emma
I'm so sorry I haven't written sooner. I have literally just heard the news. As Spit says - we all have your back. I will catch up with you very soon. But first, here, some words about Neil.

Such a caring, bright, lively guy - who got better and better, softer, kinder and mellower the longer that I knew him. I know what an influence you have had on his life and he will be at peace (wherever he is) because of all of the moments that he got to spend with you. He will be missed by many, but somehow he will live on. He was too big-a character not to.

My biggest love goes out to you, all of his family and all those close to him.  LIGHTAH!

Words fail me... I will see you soon. All my love.
12  General / The Forum / Re: Anyone with kittens that need a good home? on: April 03, 2009, 09:54:12
our cats ready to pop its litter, obviously the kittens have to stay with the mum for a while but were looking for a good home for them, so crusty k heads need not apply

Aw - man... PM me with details if you can. I'm no crusty K head, I'm a respectable homeowner (shehehehe...), with a nice big garden etc...

We're on the look out as soon as we can, but we're definitely interested in any kittens that are on their way. What's the mummy kitty like?

KITTENS FTW!

Aw! Yeay for all the kitty love  Heart

Thanks for the moggery tip - yeah - we've tried them (got our names down there already) - I think the lady is waiting for some kitties to be born. We're quite interested in fairly little kitties see... hey ho - we can last a bit longer... holding out for the perfect kitties will pay off I'm sure. Thanks for all the tips, and keep em coming.

Glad to hear that little Kelleh is doin ok now! Poor thing.

24  General / The Forum / Re: Going to Paris! on: January 08, 2009, 19:43:29
Go to Les Halles. It's a really cool area, we just happened to wander there when we were in Paris in December, it was a cool place with loads of awesome shops and cafes and an awesome vibe. Not sure what to compare it to - somewhere between covent garden and camden, but cool and French. I liked it. And there's an Onitsuka Tiger shop http://www.urbanpath.com/paris/boutiques/onitsuka-tiger-paris.htm there which is awesome.

Go - do it.

Guide to Paris sez to look out for pickpockets there, are you in cahoots with them? Are you?

Guide to Paris should say look out for them in Montmatre as well. Sacre Couer is one of the most well dodgiest places I've been in France.

Aw! Thanks for all the advice.
Fella actually owns his house so that's one thing out of the way. Yeah, fully up for looking at history where possible.
Thanks.
29  General / The Forum / Re: Anyone with kittens that need a good home? on: January 07, 2009, 12:26:46
AW! I would LOVE a doggy, but not til I have a house as big as yours! Kittens in flats, doggies in houses. Plus, Toby absolutely LOVES cats so, first things first (I hope to have both before too long!)

His flat's perfect for cats, great big garden etc... be purrrrrfect, we're looking forward to them.

(You got me thinking about dogs now though... hehehe...)

You could get a teeny weeny one, some are even smaller than a cat.

Hehehehe.... true, yes. (Stop tempting me!)

Hi all, long time no see. Hope you're all well n'all that jazz.

Just a quick'un - wondering if anyone knows of anyone with kittens that they want to find a good home for? The fella and I are really keen to get two kittens and are about to go the cats and dogs home route, but thought it was worth an ask on here first.

Thanks!  Cheesy

It's almost laughable... but this kind of laughable:  I am laughing, but I am also sad

I've wanted to see him for so long... our JZ ... and I've missed him every time. And I was all set up to go. And now I have a stinking cold and can't make it, feel all shivery and sneezing and generally rubbish. And a load of my mates have gone and I'm sad.

I'm not a religious person, but I'm starting to believe that there is a god and he really really doesn't want me to see James Zabiela.

Hope he was awesome.
40  General / The Forum / Re: Root canal Vs no tooth on: October 02, 2008, 09:33:22
I've recently had 2 root canals, one in each wisdom tooth on the bottom. (They can't take them out easily cos the root's wrapped round some nerve or sommat).

They were ok, didn't really hurt. The injections were the usual discomfort, and then afterwards it felt a tiny bit tender. But during the procedure the worst thing was having to keep your mouth that wide open for that long!

Bubonic and I have mice at the moment. 3 dead so far, I'm still counting though - I reckon there are loads in our flat...

I don't like to kill 'em, but we put down one humane trap and 2 death traps and they kept going for the death traps (then we had to throw one of the death traps away cos it was a bit covered in brains and then Pete stepped on the humane one so now we just have a death trap down...)

Wish they'd leave - I didn't invite them, and I'm not a fan of killing them.
