5  General / The Forum / Woman says "BISCUIT" repeatedly on Radio 4's Today aka TourettesHero on: April 20, 2012, 14:44:10
So there is the lovely lady with Tourette's called Jess Thom who can't stop saying BISCUIT. She says it a lot on this interview with very un-PC hilarious results:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/today/hi/today/newsid_9714000/9714435.stm

She also runs a website called http://www.touretteshero.com/ which records all her tics, including the gems:

Soda Stream. You know who your posh mates were. They didn't order Corona from the milkman anymore.

Corona used to come to my street every other Friday by the same guy who delivered coal.
Heh! Did you return the bottle tops or give them to the rag & bone man?  Tongue

Yeah we used to return the whole empty bottles, my mum would make us wash them out with soapy water.

i bought some ciggies for a pair of army cadets once, they wanted embassy, and i think gave me the exact money, i bought them embassy filter, the ridiculously short ones, and gave them change, they were very confused.

Reminds me of all the times I'd be nipping to the offy as an adult and kids outside would ask me to buy them a bottle of 20/20...when I agreed they would then give me about 3 in 2 pence pieces.

Ah, the old Mad Dog.

On New Year, Munkee was wandering around the party with a bottle of Mad Dog, a bottle of Buckfast and a third beverage (that I think may have been Lambrini but I'm not sure) gaffer taped together to form a special cocktail. It had a name, but it also escapes me.

Munkee to me, is the pinnacle of human existence we all hope to achieve, but always somehow come short of emulating.

i believe the preferred technique was to snag the aforementioned garment on a branch then brandish the 20/20 just out of reach.

That stuff you squirt on Ice Cream and it hardens.

Ice magic!!! That stuff was genius. Very much a "please mum, please mum, please mum, item" I would get very 'disappointed if she came back with a non-hardening chocolate sauce.

Does anyone remember Pyramints? I don't think they were around for very long... they were small dark chocolate pyramids filled with mint fondant, about the size of a creme egg.

Pryamints yes!  Cheesy

Hello my beautiful children  Smiley

Was thinking today about foodstuffs from your childhood or early years that now are either defunct or probably a lot more minging than you care to recall.

For example:

Wham Bars, SkyDiver Crisps, Findus Crisy Pancakes, French Bread Pizza*...what are the retro food items you fondly recall?

*yes, childhood obesity was my dear friend.
