£80-£255!  Shocked

12  General / The Forum / Re: You can't smoke in your house you scruffy pov, we know whats best for you on: October 06, 2010, 17:27:14
Why not just ban cigarettes? Oh yeah, because the government make a fat wad off it, otherwise they would have done years ago.

Wales is the only place I've seen 2 children (about the age of 13) smoking, in a car with their parents (also smoking), while in a McDonalds drive-"thru". Filthy.
13  General / The Exchange / Re: MK4 VW Golf for sale on: September 26, 2010, 01:09:23
Personally, wouldnt go by the ol' Parkers guide. Best thing to do is look at the market in real life, go to Auto Trader or Pistonheads etc. and try and put a description of your car in to see the competition.

Just did a search based on details of your car (Volkswagen Golf, Petrol, over 100,000 miles, over 10 years old, 1.4-1.6, within 100 miles) on Auto Trader, lowest priced one is £1,400, highest is £2,500. Given the condition of your car, I'd say £2,100 ono was a reasonable price.

Shame I cant afford a new car + insurance because I'd love a Dub. Smiley Good luck with sale.  Two Thumbs

Does sound like a Nico tune but dunno, sick drums. Any mixes knockin about with aload of tunes like this in? a no u turn mega mix? anyone got the Torque album they can hook me up with? mine is all worn out and scratched up  Cry

Defiantly isnt on Torque mate. I've listened to the whole CD about 14 times all the way through so many times! I've also listened to 95% of the whole No U Turn + sub-labels discography but no luck.

Not sure too sure, it does, but it also doesnt. I messaged the man himself but no reply yet, he should know for sure.

I think its quite a nice dark minimal tune. Probably one of the many tunes No U-Turn had that only saw it going on a dubplate, shame!

23  General / The Forum / Re: Invitation Book of vouchers on: April 14, 2010, 18:27:25
g/f has one. Find out which places are in the book. If you genuinely would have gone to more than about two of them anyway then it can pay for itself quickly. I think a lot of the restaurants allow 4/5 people per table/per voucher, so if you go with the same group of mates that you club together with then it won't be an issue.

May be worth having a look on some money-saving websites before you shell out - I'm not totally convinced that similar vouchers don't crop up for free when you sign-up to mailing lists etc...

Yeah thats what I was thinking, Pizza Hut send my aunt a load of vouchers every few months for free and I get vouchers on a few mailing lists.

It would be used mainly for the food vouchers, being poor hungry students, but other ones that discount bowling, cinema, etc.. would be good, and make the book would pay for itself as they are usually more money off then restaurants/fast food places.
24  General / The Forum / Invitation Book of vouchers on: April 14, 2010, 17:47:11
Anyone use one of these? How would you rate it? Few people I know are considering chipping in together and buying a book, but I dont know if it works like that though?

What do you guys think?
25  General / The Forum / Re: Wikileaks releases video of Apache shooting Reuters staff on: April 05, 2010, 20:37:18
Yeah I could see where the helicopter guys were coming from, the cameras at first looked like weapons, but the way they acted was completely fucked. Then driving a tank over a body, and attacking a minibus with people and children in... I think they are going to get royally fucked for this.

Aaaaaaaahhhhh, another amazing piece of music. Non other then Mr Moby! (Was about to blind guess it)

Great tune from an otherwise OK-ish album (in my opinion)

'Minimalism'. Check Phillip Glass for more piano laden sequences.

Oh wow! Thanks mate, would never of thought of Moby! Been into Philip Glass, Brian Eno, the classical side Aphex Twin for ages. Trying to get back into it for summer!  Cool

41  General / The Forum / Random tune ID. on: February 26, 2010, 23:17:06
Hear this tune all over the place on TV. Seems like a popular piece with the BBC and it was just on Mastercrafts.

Its just like 3 notes on a normal piano being played over and over but slightly overlapping, with a long deep synthy backgrounds, which consists of 3/4 notes.

Been on the hunt for this for a few years now, never thought of asking on here untill today! Lets see if any of you guys know.
