it was the first new DBX live show, yeah. Really polished performance and he properly worked the crowd. He even got on the mic for some vocals at points!
haha, live vocals, nice.... did he do the filter vocal thing in an accapella style as well? "i'm losing control" "im losinf cntrol" "m losin cntro" "mmm lssn cn-trtl" "m-- lss-- ntrll" "m- sdfsd cntrl" /\ TEXTUAL REPRESENTATION OF DAN BELL PON MIC /\ i realize that he probably just put the mic thru a filter unit.

hehe it seems like you where not the only one frustrated.... "Forgot to say about sleeparchive. I have never seen or heard anything as boring in my whole life. Bitterly disappointed, I thought it was a wind up. I was watching in the chalet and just had to go down to see it if it was for real. A guy standing behind a laptop, almost motionless apart from drinking water, playing the most boring minimal, repetitive noises ever. Bleugh."

I hear he sleeps in an oxygen tent wearing a granny-nappy, eats only tofu and has regular injections of estrogen and badger menses directly into his eyes. Not sure if thats how he maintains his cuntishness, but it does wonders for his complexion.
yeah i heard that too, his complexion is really good now but his beauty regime has had the side effect of making his eyes recede to within 1 inch of the back of his head. @punksi i'd mainly agree with you there, his old stuff / history / legacy is incredible but he does now make and play the dullest music imaginable (most of the time) @ basic jeff mills would either have escaped in a UFO or be selling Axis branded shanks in the exercise yard.

Yeah his productions across the board are incredible! Playing live he will smash it for sure the guy has an incredible studio, including (as one might imagine given his most famous pseudonym) a lot of old school analogue gear. am going to make sure I check this.

init. i hope pete drops the dj rush remix of marco remus - der ostcode at u_s as you well know, anything DJ Rush related gets the thumbs up from me. http://www.djrush.net/rss.php <----- hottest datafeed on the web. at least it would be if it worked properly. Hows that supposed to work? I get Firefox asking me to subscribe with live bookmarks and nothing happens If it worked, then you would get a direct feed of dj rush's thoughts on such subjects as "top places to pop dat azz 2008" unfortunatly it doesn't work properly. dj rush doesn't care though, because if dj rush wants to tell you something he will simply shout it at you through a phazer effect and then laugh maniacally afterwards.

here's a quote from another board about pete's recent set at plex in london: it was completely ludicrous how good dj pete sounded sums it up nicely. Aye it does. He played in the other room after Landstrumm which was perfect programming. Everyone was just floating along for a good 2-3 hours. Enjoy people yeah I've heard nothing but good things about that set, really looking forward to May now!

so that when i click the "show" button next to someone i've ignored it shows the thread without refreshing the entire page? thanks in advance
php is a static beast. Nothing changes on a php page without refreshing the entire page. To do what you want would require loading all the stuff you have hidden/ignored anyway, then hiding it away with some JavaScript so it can be revealed (using some more JavaScript) at your whim. A bit picky, aren't you? u could use teh Ajax and i don't mean the football team or cleanign product or the cafe on ashley road. but yes it is quite a picky request

hi, this is what we are doing for the next under_score: under_score presents...DJ Pete( Chain Reaction / Scion Versions / Tresor / Hard Wax )+ under_score djs: Jim Petherwick Luke Malcher Placid Saturday 3rd May 2008 / 10pm - 4am / The Tube / £4 under_score are proud to present DJ Pete aka Peter Kuschnereit; a man with a longstanding and deeply resonant influence on the electronic music scene in Berlin and across the globe. He is most widely known for his collaborations with Rene Lowe (aka Vainqueur), as Scion. In 1995 Scion provided the debut release for Basic Channel's sister-label, Chain Reaction. BC's Mark Ernestus & Moritz Von Oswald later asked Pete and Rene to represent their music in clubs across the world, with the subsequent tour giving rise to 2002's groundbreaking 'Scion Arrange & Process Basic Channel' CD, and widespread acclaim. As a solo artist, Peter has been responsible for key releases on Surgeon's Counterbalance label and the Chain Reaction imprint. 1996's "Relish", brought out under the his Substance moniker, is regarded as a modern classic, and his remix work for Juan Atkins, Robert Hood, Monolake and Rhythm & Sound has further secured his place among techno music's elite operators. Peter works at the famous Hardwax record shop in Berlin with the cream of electronic music passing through his hands on a daily basis. In support we have a selection of Bristol's finest techno djs; JIM PETHERWICK, LUKE MALCHER and PLACID ( under_score ) playing the hottest electronic sounds around. http://www.djpete.dehttp://www.discogs.com/artist/DJ+Petehttp://www.scionversions.dehttp://www.hardwax.comthanks

SOCA
Soca is definitely party music, only thing is its hard to get the good stuff, there is so much awful soca out there as well!!! Any artists you recommend?? not really, i'm never sure where to find good soca, for me it's just a case of listening to some compilations and finding the ones with the best soundsystem banger : awful ratio. my tolerance for the awful is pretty high though. edit: obviously any of the crazy frog based soca tracks are a must.

Im feeling the darker London style funky at the moment. Anyone here like Apple? His beats are . That type of stuff has a wickedska & soca groove to the rhythms... it's funkier ( ) than the abbrasive 4/4 grooves bassline sticks to yup, i like Apple (the few bits i've heard) - he's got a really different sound to most of the up north bassline people though. i think that scene/sound is just called "Funky" which is a bit of a strange name. good stuff though.
