greetzzz under_score present... DJ Guy( Global Fire / Non Stop DJs / Dress 2 Sweat)Joe Hart ( BLOC / Body Hammer ) Placid Paul Purgas Jim Petherwick Tube / Saturday 6th December 2008 / 10pm - 4am / £4 under_score are very proud to present DJ Guy; Europe's leading booty turntablist and the man behind the Global Fire record label. Greatly influenced by Detroit DJs such as DJ Godfather, DJ Assault and Disco D, he's known for his quick-fire mixing and genre-crossing sets. He was formerly one half of the Non Stop DJs duo who came to the attention of booty fans across the globe in 2003 with their infamous "All Cylinders" mix, featuring over 112 tracks mixed, scratched and juggled together. In 2004 Non Stop DJs released their first 12", the "Furious EP", to a huge response for a debut release, with airplay on the UK's BBC Radio 1, DJ support around the world from the likes of DJ Godfather and DJ Rolando, heavy radio play in Detroit, and electro & techno heavyweight Dave Clarke placing the EP at the #1 spot in his electro chart. New label Global Fire was started in 2007 by DJ Guy and is dedicated to releasing a spread of the best in club music. Latest out is DJ Guy's "Going Crazy EP", released on May 2008. The EP features 4 original booty tracks along with instrumentals, ranging from bass-heavy Detroitish electro funk to Chicago Juke. Reflecting the mix of styles that he spins in his DJ sets, DJ Guy also releases Baltimore Club influenced tracks as Dikulous with his track "U Know What To Doo" included on the super-fast selling Dress 2 Sweat Vol. 1 12" alongside tracks from Rustie and Pistol Pete. He's also performed remix work for Deekline & DJ Assault and for Disque Primeur's Goon & Koyote on their "Wellness Is Wild" EP. In support we welcome back under_score compatriot Joe Hart, plus some of Bristol's finest techno DJs; Paul Purgas, Jim Petherwick & Placid ( under_score ) spinning the hottest electronic sounds around. http://www.djguy.info/wp/http://www.myspace.com/dj_guyhttp://virb.com/dj_guyhttp://www.discogs.com/artist/DJ+Guy+(2)

we had similiar situation to this ages ago with under_score. we wrote them a polite reply to those concerned telling them to shuuuuuttup (politely) and never heard anything from them again. i think this type of thing mainly comes down to overbored/underemployed PR people / agents. So unless you actually did have a picture of these "Alpha" mateys on a flyer for your night, then i doubt it'll be a problem*

Wicked night, I nearly didn't make it but thanks to Mr ThinKing it all worked out nicely. That laser you had was crazy we didnt install that - in fact I spent a lot of the night trying unsuccessfully to get the bar staff to disengage it. yes it was a bit too yeah that comes with the tube now! the rave matrix effect was a little over the top, could have done with toning down a bit, possibly a lazer programme that can also spell words / make 3d pictures of dolphins can be sorted for next time. or just a way to turn it off for 5.

yet again underscore have organised a night i can't make it to every time i see your line ups i don't know who the headliners are (except peverelist) so i swiftly go on a tour around teh internets and find out, then get all excited at possibility of recieving a bit of a techno edumacation before swanning back to hijack to realise the date is a no goer for me one day, one day (but seriously these always look ace and i will make it down at some point) trufflehunter it might be easier if you tell us what days you are free and we will do an under_score on that day. really all you need to know is under_score is 1st saturday of the month, except the months when we don't do one. which is not very frequent.

exercise + no caffiene + possibly booze (red wine) + no computer / internet / maybe even no TV for some time before trying to go to sleep, read a book / newspaper instead. also don't have too many lights on in the house.
benzodiazepines are scarily addictive in my opinion and all they will do is make it impossible for you to sleep when you stop taking em.

will underscore be sending a thank you letter or early Christmas card to the airport officials that confiscated his records? thank god he had a second bag of records as hand luggage! the cretin luggage handlers didn't put his other record bag on the flight - so they were stuck in frankfurt... not strictly true, they did make it to bristol eventually, they arrived about 3 hours before he got his return flight still he pulled out some hot jams from his reserve bag/ placid's records (just not the really rare chicago ones!!)) and all was good. had a really good time. nice too see some familiar faces, free rotation crew, and meet some new peeps next under_score: 1st November : Deadbeat / Peverelist

I hate the fact this gay genre of dance music shares the same name as the realest music on the planet.
Yes, when two different things have the same name it really is very confusing and troubling isn't it? Especially when one of the things is mighty real and presumably the other thing is a bit less real.

I sold it on ebay and bought myself a web book from carphone whorehouse. It's not as quick, but easier to add programs etc - I needed ftp.
eh surely it has ftp installed already? it the most standard standard program ever..

yep i have one, a 2 gig one, it's really good. I haven't tried upgrading the ram, but i have put some stickers on it. eeebuntu / xubuntu is much better than the thing that comes preinstalled. Also if you remove a lot of the extraneous stuff (like email client if u only use webmail, Open office if you don't use that kind of thing) you can free up a lot of space. Also if you don't mind ing it a bit do this : http://po-ru.com/diary/linux-liposuction-or-xubuntu-in-under-a-gig-on-the-eee-pc/ you can compress the partition on which program / library files reside, thus improving the time to load them and gaining yourself a fair amount of extra space. I think windows would be pretty slow in a 7series one, but the newer 9 series ones are available with windows so maybe get one of those if you need it. so yeah +1 from me. is it possible to upgrade the hard drive to something uber massive or are ya stuck with 4 gigs
You can put whatever sized SSD disk you can afford in the extra slot, not sure how much they cost now but much more expensive than hard drives per gig.

Fuck me, watching the weather report on tv now, it looks apocalyptic! One months worth of rain forecast today, gales and thunderstorms tomorrow. This looks like Glade 2007 x 9/11 x 1000.
1.64 ? thats not particularly apocalyptic. i think u might mean (glade 2007 x 9/11) ^ 1000 billion gagillion
