really shocked by the level of random distaste from a few people who've never met us

If you're going to run a magazine, you're going to need to develop much thicker skin.

We just using the tools at our disposal to highlight what was a clearly contentious subject matter and it completely justified her point that immediately after it was posted, those in question decided to go after her schooling.

Her: We're not like you think we are, you're prejudice!

Me: Yes you are, first page google brought up after typing in her name proved so.

Ill notice that it was only the posh girl that got annoyed about the posh comments, and wrote an article.

Try Crack Cocaine... best drug you'll ever do. Infact get daddies girl on it, her old man can send her to the priory to get her off it again when shes bored and wants to be a dj or a film star instead.

EDIT: And don't tell me she's not like i think she is, whether its still there or not, i could've written volumes on her based purely on the info i found really easily last night - shes one of those sorts who likes to paint a picture to the whole internet about herself. I even know all about her dad. He's not short of a few bob.

I'll leave you alone now, but 3 things:

1. Crack is horrible, with a magazine called it you seem like the cunce at Vice (first impressions and all that)
2. You chose the wrong silly little girl to write an article about it.
3. Dont feed the trolls.

The case is closed.

There's always been a dig at people who went to private school, which I've never understood. Firstly, you go to the school that your mum and dad decide on, you usually have very little say in the matter; secondly you can bet that if you had the money and the local comp wasn't up to scratch you'd send your own little offspring to one. What school you go to doesn't make you a tosser, being a tosser makes you a tosser.

Growing up in an environment full of spoiled rich wanker kids when you yourself are a spoiled rich wanker kid reinforces the notion that it is OK to be a spoiled rich wanker kid. Worst case scenario what you end up with is Gideon Osborne. And I don't care what anyone says, being Gideon osborne is not cool.

lol really man u cant blame someone for growing up...
do you blame starving kids in africa for growing up in a malnurished area? i mean who do they think they are thinking its ok to be starving?

Once again commenting through assumptions. My parents worked really hard to send me to a private school, because I had learning difficulties they thought it might benefit me to have smaller classes and a bit more academic pressure. There were many girls at my school who's parents sacrificed a lot to do the same for various reasons. It's not like we all turn around at 11 and say Mother I demand to learn Latin and wear a stupid uniform!!

As adults I find very little difference between me and friends who have gone to private school and friends who went to state schools, most do similar jobs and have similar outlooks on life.

And again what I said was public schools don't have [imo] an adequate cross-section of kids from different classes and backgrounds, so if you live a posh life and go to a posh school you only know posh and can only be posh. You weren't posh, and so got your fair share of social balance in your life outside of school. For many kids school is the only exposure they get to different classes and people from different walks of life and as such I feel that many kids would benefit from exposure to so-called "real life" in a mainstream school. I certainly don't mean you and I hope you understand what I'm saying now.

Wow...what a difference a blog makes. We aren't at all precious about our little mag, but really shocked by the level of random distaste from a few people who've never met us (us being a group of people from all ranges and backgrounds) and felt it needed documenting. Which is why you're all welcome in Crack Towers for a Nescafe...oh sorry...Columbian filtered and a bourbon biscuit...sorry...Swiss chocolate. Then we can discuss the cultural demographic of all our schooling.

xx

I assume the producers of this magazine have never been a victim of the effects of crack / cocaine and are instead in the fortunate position of being able to prey upon the sadness, misery and notoriety this drug has caused countless people both in this city and beyond.

I find your magazine vile. I find your website and marketing strategy abhorrent. As for the vacuous indolent content of your magazine - I personally couldn't give less of a fuck so i hold no judgement.

You creation is unimaginative and utterly distasteful. I can only assume you are either to desperate for attention that you can't come up with anything better or to stupid to realise that you are disgrace to this city and to journalism.

twats Two Thumbs

Holy shit Mr Drugs Councillor, we aren't advocating the use of crack cocaine. If you can't differentiate between the use of a name and promotion of an illicit substance you should probably not bother picking up the magazine as it might worry your wee head. Maybe you should learn to not take everything quite so literally you may have more fun.

Are there any articles in-particular you find abhorrent? I mean featuring new bands and promoting new music and artists who are devoid of good quality exposure is a particularly nasty thing to be doing! I presume our marketing strategy of hosting parties for people and new bands is again a particularly vicious ploy to gain readers  as well? Well spotted there sir - hats off!!

In contrast to what you say we aren't desperate for attention, we just want to see the cultural output of the city promoted in a platform that isn't an A4/A5 glossy listings throwaway. Is that such a crime?

Love you sexy even though you've made us cry. If you want to come and have coffee sometime there's always room for 'chunky lover' at Crack Towers.

Can't say I've read it but the title alone and the URL of the website makes me think of Nathan Barley

I've not read it, I'm not going to go looking for it, but if a copy passes my way ill thumb through.

But...

Couldn't agree more with the above. What kind of retarded prick calls their magazine "Crack" with a URL of "Youlovecrack" erm... that'll be hipsters that have never even been near the stuff before.

"Come on Tarquin, Lets make a magazine and call it crack magazine because if we really were on crack we'd never get a magazine made..."
"Oh hooh hooh! Jonty you are clever, we're so ironic... come lets jump on our fixies, ride down to starbucks and discuss it over a mochachino"

Good luck with it, but on the impression i have of you so far - I think you're a bunch of dickheads.

Go Branding!

hahahahahahahah!! This is the kind of thing we laugh about in the office.

If you find that funny have you checked out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJY73GgkvWg a perfect parody of 'Jonty' and 'Tarquin', but a little wide of the mark for us considering one of us lives in Knowle... with his Mum! And the other lives in Bishopston... also with his Mum. Hipsters of the first order indeed!!!

Did we bully you in a past life to incur such vitriol? Anyway I'm off to buy some vintage on Park St with Daddy's Amex, before we retire to the cocaine chic lifestyle we've become accustomed to...that's after I've been down to the dole office of course. You joker!

All our love, Crack

Where can I grab a copy? Best of luck with it. I know from experience that putting out a free mag can be tricky.

You can pick a copy up from a few different places around Bristol; Fopp, Motel, Start The Bus, Urban Outfitters, Cult, The White Bear, Thekla, Arnolfini and The Watershed but you can probably find one floating around most places!

Alternatively you can have a look at the latest issue online here.. http://www.youlovecrack.com/

The mag has been built literally from scratch, by two very hard-working guys who took the initiative and genuinely made something work for them. In my mind its a perfect example of entrepreneurship, and they deserve hearty congratulations for everything they've done.

They also throw some wicked parties and support bands that otherwise wouldn't get a lot of coverage in the city. Fucking well done guys.  Two Thumbs

Amazing to hear. Thanks for the love!

It's a fucking waste of paper and is aimed at temporary London exiles with shit fashion sense and a propensity to talk bollocks at predictable music nights.

Is John Ethics behind this then?

Wait until you see the magazine before passing judgement.

I did read an article about Tempa T in Crack which was massively wrong and didnt make sense.

The horoscopes are funny, mind.

Fire Man Sam  LIGHTAH!

Thanks for backing us up there!

We love Tempa T here at Crack Towers and would never want to misrepresent the man. What was wrong with the article?  Doh!
