Would it maybe be a good idea to check the recently called numbers and try them?? The owner may not be a Hijacker or internet person...

wow! what a ridiculously awesome night! never seen upstairs so rammed before have to say all the music upstairs was amazing, guy before me was smacking it hard with some serious tunes, loved playing my set (may have been a little bit too pissed....), wascal smacked it hard, kymatik had some serious party tunes (was loving the garagey stuff) and smokelife crew kept it going strong right to the very end with some filthy grooves! hope it was kicking off in the other rooms too! bigups to the smokelife crew, the man with the rig and the chap selling tea (legend) wicked night

that truly was a stormer...
Tonys rig was sounded even better than it looked, and the atmosphere upstairs was insane from about 11.30! Kahn got the place moving with his set, playing some quality tunes and setting the tone for the room up nicely.
Phaeleh stepped up at 12 and quickly got the room bouncing playing his own particular brand of filthy dubstep/tearing breakbeat which got the crowd frenzied... and also the whole SmokeLife crew pogo-ing behind the turntables!
Then Wascal.. OMG! this guy absolutely tore the place apart, stuck it back together, than smashed it to bits again with a rapid-fire set of brand-new dubs and rhythms, dropping a fresh tune every minute or two, which had the crowd screaming for more! Showing why we've brought him on board as a Resident... look out for this man, easily one of the best dj's around at the moment...
.. just as everyone thought it couldn't get anymore off the wall....
Kymatik hit the turntables and just left everyone open-mouthed at this man's dj abilities... mixing up everything from hard house/techno though Dubstep to Bassline/Garage in the space of a couple of minutes, he brought the already buzzing atmosphere even higher and pleased the crowd with some amazing tune selection...
then it was SmokeLife's turn to finish off the dance... did seriously look like we had a hard job to follow but the crowd was so up for more bass to feed their addiction the reaction to every single tune was incredible, Golgot, Smiffy's and Tekton Naggar's styles blended together perfectly to provide a fitting end to was was all around a seriously heavy dance!
the atmosphere was live all night so massive thanks to all the dancing crew, the breakdancers that were going mental at the front, the man with the tea stall at the back (lovely guy!), and again all the djs and to tony for what is a lush sound system! also huge thanks to all involved with the night as a whole, a lot of hard work was put in by the S.W.A.T team, the Blunderphonics boys, all The Bristol Festival crew, Weapon of Choice with the magic pens, Cilla Slack, all @ the Swan, and undoubtedly more that i've forgotten (sorry! we love you too!)
get yourselves down the tube this thursday for more!

SmokeLife's open to the idea i reckon

Gonna be doing another biggie like this then, considering it was a big success? Final figure is 1,800 thought it was more but in my Cilla Slack exhaustion I counted the bags of coins as 100's rather than 20's but still a very good amount!!! We had around 550 people through the door, over 100 on the guestlist, and at least 20 over the wall -sliding down the painting wall to everything the smokelife boys said, your room was ace!!!! Tony's rig is gorgeous The impromptu breakdancers were fookin wicked, defo get them down in future! I was beginning to think i was getting bored of dubstep until sat reminded me of just how large it can be. Heard some sick tunage and am really looking forward to your next night! Seeing everyone havin it behind the decks and the crowd going crazy when new tunes were dropped was brilliant -made it all worthwhile! Swat's room looked amazing and a really good way to use the space -didnt feel like the swan at all! Really turned that area into a full blown room that sounded great!!! And wicked stuff on sounds and decor for both downstairs rooms. The main room too was havin it!!!! technical hitch was ironed out swiftly making for heavy things!! and the visuals were wicked. The movie room was lovely.... couldnt really hear the sound over the bass from everywhere else but those that wanted to watch the films could get in close enough to hear.... a nice place to take a mo to chill with tea and truffles The caba | | |
